This book is based on the trees that have fully grown since the 80s, when they were planted by squatters in Bonnington Square in Vauxhall. Thanks to that community spirit to make something better when the place was a derelict area, these trees alongside the creative spirit of the people that made those houses habitable at the time, has made today one of the most especial places in London.
I lived very close for a while, made friends and felt incredibly welcome.
So this book is about those trees and their people, chatting away in the streets, whose dialogues and songs are captured in the book.
